It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas E. Donkerbrook, President and Founder of D’Brook & Company, Inc. Tom spent 55 years working in the insurance claims industry and was a true maverick in the field. After starting his career with GAB and leading offices in Alpina, MI, Lansing, MI and Indianapolis, IN, he hung his shingle in Carmel, IN on President’s Day in 1978. Tom was known as a fierce, but fair negotiator and had the unique ability to make friends across all fronts. Some of Tom’s closest friends are individuals he handled claims for over the years, customers and adversaries alike. Tom was proud to be an Insurance Adjuster. He loved handling claims. Our industry has truly lost one of it’s own with Tom’s passing.
D’Brook will remain committed to Tom’s legacy of hard work and dedication. We are grateful for his leadership and he will be forever honored as we move forward into our next chapter.
